As is customary, I list the most popular posts of the year*; a combination of articles and resources relating to my research, education, policy, technology, as well as general miscellany. In August, I started a new monthly blog post series — A Month In Data — in which I curate a set of articles, links and resources that I have come across that month relating to data, algorithms, technology and policy: from data science, AI and machine learning, through to ethics, society and governance. It will be interesting to see how the series develops in 2018.
As before, the majority of my visitors are from the UK and US, through social media or direct from search engines; I’m also still receiving a significant amount of traffic to this post from 2013, which is probably an indictment of my writing ability.
