The outputs from the Welsh National Digital Strategy objective building workshops held in November 2017 have now been compiled, with the opportunity for stakeholders to review and comment on the vision and objectives.
These workshop outputs will now ultimately form the core element of the Welsh National Digital Strategy for the FE sector; I spoke at a CollegesWales policy conference on this topic in March 2017 (see slides), linking it to our work on the new Digital Competence Framework, as well as other national initiatives such as FELTAG. Building on recent JISC thinking on the future of FE over the next five years — with a number of challenges and opportunities — this is an important opportunity to help shape the digital strategy for the FE sector in Wales.
