Digitally Engaged, Data Savvy and Computationally Literate: Key Competencies for Future Citizens?
Tom Crick MBE is Professor of Digital & Policy and Deputy Pro-Vice Chancellor at Swansea University. His work sits at the research/policy/practice interface, from data science, intelligent systems and computational social science, through to education, digital public services and national infrastructure. He has also led the major STEM/digital curriculum reform in Wales over the past 10 years. Alongside his academic roles, he holds a number of non-executive and board-level roles, including Welsh Water, Swansea Bay University Health Board, Industry Wales, and the Ofcom Advisory Committee for Wales, and has previously been a Commissioner of the National Infrastructure Commission for Wales and a Vice-President of BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.
