MBE

Now that the embargo has lifted, I am delighted to announce that I have been appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire — MBE — in the Queen’s Birthday Honours 2017 for “services to computer science and the promotion of computer science education”.

Massive thanks are due to a lot of people, but especially my family, who have supported me unreservedly over past few years. Alongside my academic work, I look forward to supporting the development of the new Curriculum for Wales, continuing my roles with the BCS (and other interesting organisations), as well as promoting a digitally confident and capable UK!
