Qualifications Wales’ review of the ICT sector is looking at the available portfolio of qualifications — from GCSEs, A Levels and vocational qualifications — as well the broader skills students develop from studying these before starting a career in ICT.
They are asking employers, learners, learning providers and others to complete a short questionnaire to better understand whether qualifications in this sector are meeting the needs of learners and employers. The focus is on qualifications taken by learners on publicly funded courses — for learners aged 14-19 — and apprenticeships, but they are also happy to hear about others (although degrees will not be included in the review). The feedback from this survey will feed into the wider review of qualifications in this sector, reporting back in summer 2018.
