Last week, we had an editorial published in School Leadership & Management, focusing on how curriculum leadership from practitioners is a critical contributor to school and system improvement. In particular, how the system needs to be ‘turned inside out’ so that teachers have more influence to lead meaningful change that will positively impact on the young people they teach. This editorial was written in collaboration with two Swansea colleagues — Professor Alma Harris and Dr Michelle Jones — and directly links to my recent work with the new Curriculum for Wales, which will be published at the end of this month, to start from September 2022.
