With colleagues from the University of Bristol and Swansea University, and building on our recent work in this space, we are investigating the impact of COVID-19 on the welfare, health and wellbeing of professional services staff working in UK universities. Further to a developing corpus of work in this space (for example, this paper), it is clear the primary focus of empirical studies has been on academic staff and students; therefore, this study is intended to address this gap and identify how transitioning to remote working practices — and wider systemic challenges of COVID-19 — have and are continuing to affect professional services staff. It is part of a wider Worldwide Universities Network (WUN)-funded project exploring the impact of COVID-19 on higher education working lives.
Please complete our anonymous survey: you will be asked about the impact of COVID-19 on your professional service roles and responsibilities; any changes to your workload, management and relationships; as well as how this has impacted upon your welfare, health and wellbeing:
